Health Visitors are available to advise on child health and development and on health related problems for adults, particularly the elderly. They also work with pregnant and nursing mothers, people with disabilities and the bereaved. They can be contacted through the Beckford Centre on Warminster (01985) 218021.
Maternity Care
All the doctors provide full antenatal and post-natal care. Despite the specialised services provided at the Maternity Units, care for you and your baby during pregnancy and after birth should still involve your GP. We encourage patients to keep us informed of their progress and not to hesitate to contact us if there is a problem. After consulting your GP, a referral for delivery at the place of your choice will be made to either of Frome Maternity Unit, Trowbridge Maternity Unit, Salisbury District Hospital or the Royal United Hospital, Bath.

Social Care Link-worker - Telephone Warminster (01985) 220700
Mrs Jane Leigh is based at Warminster Hospital and provides social work support to the Warminster Practices. She is available from 0845 (8.45 a.m.) to 1715 (5.15 p.m.) Monday to Friday.
Psychiatric Care
The practice has access to psychiatric nurses and social workers with the Mental Health Team at Red Gables, Trowbridge. Patients needing their help may be referred after consultation with their doctor. We also have Counselling services based at the Surgery, which will see our registered patients.
Warminster Hospital
We work closely with Warminster Hospital , whose future we actively work to safeguard. Currently we provide a weekly Fracture Clinic and Dr McBride holds a contract, as a West Wiltshire Primary Care Trust employee, to provide medical support to the Geriatric Day Hospital . Patients also benefit from the excellent physiotherapy department and the variety of outpatient clinics at the Hospital.
