Avenue Surgery Opening Hours

Monday to Friday from 0800 (8 am) to 1830 (6.30 pm).

We would greatly appreciate it if personal or telephoned routine enquiries could be avoided from 1300 (1 pm) to 1400 (2 pm) and after 1700 (5 pm) because we are then operating with reduced staff levels.

Out of Hours Medical Cover

West Wiltshire PCT provides out-of-hours cover to patients registered with The Avenue Surgery for urgent medical problems. Out-of-hours are defined as weekends, bank holidays and weekdays from 1830 (6.30 p.m.) until 0800 (8 a.m.) the following day. If a doctor is required during these times to deal with an urgent medical problem then please telephone the West Wiltshire PCT Out-of-hours Service on:

Your call will be answered by a trained nurse who will discuss your problem, provide immediate clinical advice and decide on the best way to assist you.

If you are faced with a life-threatening emergency at any time please do not waste time calling the surgery because we will be unable to help. Instead please immediately call 999 and ask for an ambulance.
