Did you know that our surgery…?

Did you know that our surgery…

… has over 16,500 registered patients

… sees up to 10,000 patients a month

… receives 650 to 900 incoming telephone calls every day

… processes up to 20,000 prescriptions every month

… already has extended opening hours

… has a monthly average of 300 appointments where patients did not attend, wasting 50 hours of clinician time

 Volunteers supporting the Surgery

Avenue Surgery Patient Group (ASPG) members support and advise the Avenue Surgery and, among other activities, we help to administer the on-going annual flu clinics, offer input to the surgery website, contribute to improvements in appointments and referrals, and signpost health and social welfare organisations.

If you think that this work is important – and you would like to find out more – please contact the Chairman (below) for more details or sign up on the Avenue Surgery website (under Practice Information):  www.avenuesurgery.co.uk

Our next meeting is on Tuesday 18th July at 7 pm in the Warminster Civic Centre but members are also welcome to participate and contribute online or in person.

Call David Reeves on 0772 415 9713 for further information.

As part of this work, we are holding a series of short presentations in Warminster and the villages at which we may surprise you with facts about the Avenue Surgery, explain some of the current issues with GP practices, take a brief look at the new website, and talk about the Patient Group. Finally, this is not all one way! As a Patient Group, we are there to listen as well as to talk so there is an opportunity to feedback your views to the Practice.

All patients of the Avenue Surgery are welcome but this presentation is also of general interest to all who use a GP practice. Your local event is as follows (events in other villages are planned):

Venue  Date Time
Chapmanslade/ Corsley Thursday 12th January 7.30 pm
Crockerton/ Deverills Monday 6th February  6.30 pm
Sutton Veny Thursday 23rd February 6.30 pm
