Warminster and District Foodbank

Message from Warminster and District Foodbank:

From 31st March 2020 there will be New Arrangements for Warminster and District Foodbank.

Provision of Food will now be by Telephone request and Home Delivery Only.

This is in keeping with Government Instructions about social distancing and staying at Home.

Please DO NOT come to Dewey House

How do I request food?

  1. Call 01985 214463 between 9am and 11am Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday.
  2. A voucher with details of your needs will be completed over the telephone.
  3. You will be given a time slot for delivery of food to your home.

Message from Prescriptions Ordering Direct (POD)

Telephone lines continue to be fully operational, however we have additional staff actioning requests via a NEW EMERGENCY USE POD EMAIL ADRESS for use during COVID 19 period ONLY

Please email your request to bswccg.podemergency@nhs.net

By sending this e-mail you have given your consent for POD staff to access your medical records in order to process your prescription request.

You will not receive confirmation but can assume the prescription request should be ready for collection in one week.

If your prescription request is urgent can you please telephone the POD in the usual way to ensure it is dealt with the same day.

The essential information required is :

  • GP practice
  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Medicines required
  • Your usual pharmacy
  • Any changes from usual (e.g. going on holiday, or a different pharmacy).

If any of these details are missing it will delay processing of your request. 

Please note all e-mails will be deleted after one month.

BSW Prescription Ordering Direct (POD) Service

New Partner at The Avenue Surgery

We are pleased to announce the arrival of a new GP Partner at The Avenue Surgery.

Dr Joanne Moore will be joining the Avenue as a ninth Partner on 1st May 2020.

Dr Moore, who is a qualified GP Trainer with special interests in woman’s sexual health and young people, is currently working at the Frome Medical Centre where she has been since 2015. Prior to this she worked as a GP in London after qualifying in 2012.

She will be taking on Dr Corey’s current patient list to allow Dr Corey and Dr Austin to reduce their commitment; they will jointly manage Dr Austin’s existing Patient List.
