Freedom of Information Act

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 came into force in January 2005 and it gives any person legal rights of access to certain information held by public bodies.

Under schedule 1 of the Act, the Practice is required to conform to this legislation.

If you have a request under the Freedom of Information Act, you must put the specific details in writing, addressed to the Practice Manager at the surgery.

A charge may be made for collecting the information provided which will be no more than the maximum level defined in the Act.

Your request will normally be dealt with within 20 working days from the date of receipt of the request by the Practice.
